MHADA Lottery 2023: Over 16,000 applicants vying for 4,083 Mumbai homes in just one week!

MHADA Lottery 2023 attracts a whopping 16,000+ applications within a week for the available 4,083 homes in Mumbai. The apartments range from 200 sq ft to 1,500 sq ft, with prices varying between Rs 24 lakh and Rs 7.57 crore. Interested applicants have until June 26 to submit their applications, and the lottery results will be announced on July 18, 2023.

Among the applicants, a significant number of 7,665 individuals have already paid the earnest money deposit to participate in the MHADA lottery.

These homes cater to various sections of society, including the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Lower Income Group (LIG), Middle Income Group (MIG), and High Income Group (HIG).

MHADA's recent data reveals that 16,476 applications have been received for the 4,083 apartments, highlighting the significant demand for affordable housing in Mumbai. The apartments are spread across different areas such as Vikhroli, Antop Hill, Goregaon, Dadar, Wadala, Andheri, Kandivali, Malad, Byculla, Tardeo, Juhu, Chembur, Powai, Chandivali, and Sion.

MHADA also plans to introduce more apartments in the coming years, specifically for the MIG and HIG categories. These upcoming projects are currently under construction, as confirmed by MHADA officials.

The lottery showcases a wide range of options for potential homebuyers, starting from a 204 sq ft unit in Chandivali priced at Rs 24.71 lakh, to a luxurious 1,500 sq ft apartment in Tardeo, South Mumbai, which carries a hefty price tag of Rs 7.57 crore.
